The Suicide File 'Some Mistakes You Never Stop Paying For'

Some Mistakes You Never Stop Paying For collects the essential early recordings of The Suicide File, one of the defining bands of the early-2000s Boston hardcore scene.

Originally released by Indecision Records in 2005, the 18-track collection brings together material that had previously been scattered across hard-to-find EPs, split 7"s, and the band’s original demo. It includes the complete Things Fall Apart EP, tracks from splits with The Hope Conspiracy and R’N’R, material from The Suicide File’s self-titled debut EP, and three demo recordings.

Songs like “2003,” “Fuck Fox News,” “Things Fall Apart,” “Achtung! Landmine!,” “Kissinger,” “The Somme,” and “I Hate You” capture the combination of urgency, melody, political frustration, and tightly wound aggression that made The Suicide File such an important part of Boston hardcore despite their brief original run.

Formed in Boston and active during the early 2000s, The Suicide File existed for only a few years, but their impact has lasted far longer. Some Mistakes You Never Stop Paying For works as both an essential companion to Twilight and a near-complete document of the EP, split, and demo material that surrounded it. Released by Indecision Records.
