About the Album
Many of the songs that became Rainbowmachine existed for years before finally finding the right shape. Written across different eras of Jonah Matranga’s life, the album became an opportunity to fully open the onelinedrawing project outward, transforming intimate sketches into a layered, widescreen rock record built around collaboration, texture, and instinct.
Produced by Jay Maas, Rainbowmachine moves between anxious haze, towering hooks, dense guitar layers, bubbling synths, and massive wall-of-sound crescendos while never losing the intimacy at the center of Jonah’s songwriting. The album balances vulnerability, melody, and experimentation in a way that feels both deeply personal and strangely communal.
The result is one of the most expansive and emotionally resonant onelinedrawing records to date: melodic, restless, emotionally raw, and constantly reaching for something bigger than itself.
