Spitboy 'Rasana'

Originally released in 1995 on Ebullition Records, Rasana is a three-song 7" from Spitboy, the influential San Francisco hardcore band known for pairing abrasive, politically charged punk with an uncompromising feminist perspective.

By this point, Spitboy had already established themselves as one of the most distinctive voices in the early-’90s DIY hardcore underground, releasing records through Lookout, Allied, and Ebullition while touring extensively across the U.S. and internationally. Rasana arrived near the end of the band’s original run and features the later lineup of Adrienne Droogas, Karin Gembus, Michelle Gonzales, and Dominique Davison.

Short, raw, and confrontational, the record captures the intensity that made Spitboy such an important part of the era’s anarcho-punk and hardcore landscape.

The current copies available from Ebullition come from a recently discovered box of original vinyl. Because the original covers and inserts were no longer available, these final copies were completed with reproduced covers printed on demand. Once they are gone, Ebullition says they will be gone for good.
