Haywire 'I Don't Wanna Say Goodbye'

I Don’t Wanna Say Goodbye is the new full-length from Boston hardcore band Haywire, expanding the raw energy of Conditioned for Demolition into something bigger, more melodic, and built for the kind of room-wide singalongs that have become central to the band’s live shows.

Produced by Mat Kerekes of Citizen and mixed by Taylor Young at The Pit, the album moves between direct hardcore cuts like “Flex Your Head” and “Forever Alone” and the more anthemic pull of “That’s Life,” “Interstate Love Affair,” “Trouble in Paradise,” “Sincerely Yours,” and the title track.

Tracked between studios in Leeds, UK and Toledo, Ohio, I Don’t Wanna Say Goodbye also features appearances from members of Nothing and The Aggrolites, along with friends from Haywire’s extended community.

Since forming in late 2023, Haywire have built their reputation through an almost absurd amount of touring, moving easily between DIY hardcore shows, international tours, and huge stages while keeping the communal energy of Boston hardcore at the center of what they do. I Don’t Wanna Say Goodbye captures that momentum while pushing the band toward bigger hooks, more melody, and a sense of melancholy that gives the record considerably more depth than a straightforward hardcore LP.
