Ceremony 'Tell Me Your Dream'

Tell Me Your Dream is the seventh full-length from Ceremony, bringing the California band’s hardcore roots crashing into the post-punk, punk, and experimental territory they’ve explored across more than two decades.

Produced by John Reis, Tell Me Your Dream finds Ceremony at their most urgent and confrontational, drawing inspiration from formative bands like Discharge and Crass while retaining the restless evolution that has carried them from ferocious hardcore into post-punk, new wave, and beyond.

Across ten songs, the band moves between the anarcho-punk attack of “Other Hells,” the propulsive groove of “Madness,” and the dark post-punk of “Dark Summer.” Vocalist Ross Farrar and guitarist Andy Nelson confront political violence, war, inequality, alienation, and the uncertainty of contemporary life without separating those ideas from their own personal struggles.

Rather than recreating an earlier version of Ceremony, Tell Me Your Dream pulls from every era of the band at once. Hardcore intensity, jagged melody, atmosphere, and political conviction collide in a record that feels both like a culmination of Ceremony’s history and another sharp turn forward.

Featuring Ross Farrar, Anthony Anzaldo, Andy Nelson, Justin Davis, and Jake Casarotti, Tell Me Your Dream is Ceremony refusing complacency after more than twenty years together: loud, restless, and determined to meet the moment head-on.
