Botch '061502'

061502 documents Botch’s final performance of their original run, recorded live at The Showbox in Seattle on June 15, 2002.

Across 14 songs, Botch tear through material from We Are the Romans, American Nervoso and An Anthology of Dead Ends, capturing the controlled chaos, rhythmic precision and physical intensity that made them one of the most influential heavy bands of their generation. The set includes “Saint Matthew Returns to the Womb,” “C. Thomas Howell as the ‘Soul Man’,” “John Woo,” “Frequency Ass Bandit,” “To Our Friends in the Great White North,” “Hutton’s Great Heat Engine” and a closing performance of “Man the Ramparts.”

The 2LP contains the complete concert audio, remastered specifically for vinyl, presented in an expanded deluxe package. The accompanying DVD features the full Showbox performance, bonus commentary, the “Saint Matthew Returns to the Womb” video and additional archival material.

Featuring Dave Verellen, Dave Knudson, Brian Cook and Tim Latona, 061502 captures Botch at the end of an extraordinary first chapter, before its members went on to projects including Russian Circles, Minus the Bear, These Arms Are Snakes and Narrows.

Raw, confrontational and barely contained, this is less a polished live album than a document of what Botch sounded and felt like in the room.
