Attempt Survivors 'Educated Hips'

Educated Hips is the debut 7" from Attempt Survivors, a post-hardcore project built from decades of experience across some of the most distinctive bands in the underground.

Featuring J. English, Adam Marino, Matthew Kane, and Kyle Stevenson, Attempt Survivors brings together members and alumni of Helmet, Errortype:11, Instruction, Saetia, Six Going on Seven, Big Collapse, and Fires. The result is two songs that pull from post-hardcore, ’90s emo, noise rock, goth, and heavier AmRep-style abrasion without sounding like a retread of any one previous band.

The title track “Educated Hips” is compact and immediate, while “Follow Me Chaos” stretches the band into a more expansive, dynamic direction. Together, the two songs introduce a group less interested in nostalgia than in using years of accumulated musical instinct to make something new.
