Shelter 'Perfection Of Desire'

Originally released in 1990, Perfection of Desire is the debut full-length from Shelter, the band formed by Youth of Today vocalist Ray Cappo as he began exploring Krishna consciousness and a new direction beyond his previous band.

Backed by Tom Capone of Bold and Quicksand, along with Todd, Bill and Dave of 76% Uncertain, Shelter carried the urgency of late-’80s New York hardcore into something more melodic, introspective and spiritually driven. Songs like “Turn It Around,” “In the Name of Comfort” and “Enough” helped establish the foundation for the movement that would later become known as Krishnacore.

A landmark Revelation Records release and an essential piece of early-’90s hardcore history, Perfection of Desire captures Shelter at the very beginning.
