Quicksand 'Bring On The Psychics'

New York City post-hardcore pioneers Quicksand return with Bring On The Psychics, their first album in five years and a defining step forward in a career that helped shape the genre itself. Bridging the groove-heavy foundation of their ’90s work with the more expansive direction of their recent output, the album captures a band still pushing at their own boundaries without losing what made them essential.

Produced and mixed by Jon Markson (Drug Church, Drain), the record was tracked with urgency and clarity, resulting in a collection that moves fluidly from driving, hook-laden tracks like “Get To It” and “Regenerate” to more atmospheric and exploratory moments. Across its runtime, Bring On The Psychics balances technical precision with a sense of openness, reflecting a band equally comfortable delivering impact and stretching into new sonic space.

Decades on from landmark releases like Slip and Manic Compression, Quicksand continue to evolve with purpose, reaffirming their place not just as originators, but as a band still actively redefining their sound.
