Pelican 'After The Ceiling Cracked'

After the Ceiling Cracked captures Pelican during the band’s formative mid-2000s era, documenting the immense live sound that helped establish them as one of the defining names in instrumental post-metal.

At the center of the release is Pelican’s complete performance at Scala in King’s Cross, London on December 20, 2005, featuring material from Australasia and The Fire in Our Throats Will Beckon the Thaw, including “March Into the Sea,” “Autumn Into Summer,” “Last Day of Winter,” “Aurora Borealis,” “Sirius” and more.

The DVD also collects additional live footage from U.S. performances recorded between 2003 and 2006, along with interviews, the “Autumn Into Summer” music video, and an extensive photo and artwork gallery.

Also included is a 3" audio CD featuring “Pink Mammoth,” the Prefuse 73 remix “End of Seasons,” and “These Arms Are Pink Mammoths,” featuring members of These Arms Are Snakes.

An essential archive of Pelican at the height of their early Hydra Head era, After the Ceiling Cracked offers a front-row document of the band’s massive, atmospheric live presence.
