New Forms 'Nothing's Sacred Anymore'

Nothing’s Sacred Anymore is the first New Forms release on Iodine Recordings, capturing the band’s collision of screamo, hardcore, and chaotic post-hardcore at its most immediate.

Since forming in 2018, New Forms have built their sound around relentless momentum, dissonant guitars, and brief flashes of mournful melody. The songs rarely settle into repetition, instead moving through abrupt shifts in tension and release while Mary White-Valliere’s vocals turn memory, trauma, loss, and isolation into something intensely physical.

The EP was recorded to tape at God City Studios and engineered and mixed by Zach Weeks (Deafheaven, The Armed, Cerce), giving the recording a rawness that matches the force of the band’s live performances. It was mastered by Nick Townsend (Fleshwater, Full of Hell, Nails).

New Forms remain rooted in the DIY community that shaped them, having toured with Crowning, Beau Navire, and Jeromes Dream and appeared at festivals including New Friends Fest, ZBR Fest, California Kicks, and Dilly Dally Fest.

“I have found my voice in this band and it’s allowed me to offer up words to others that I wish someone had spoken to me earlier in life. I never want to stop connecting with others and pouring love into the type of community that builds us all up.” - Mary White-Valliere
