Man is the Bastard 'Abundance of Guns'

Originally released in 1992, Abundance of Guns is an early document of Man Is The Bastard at their most abrasive and unconventional, pushing hardcore into powerviolence, sludge, and experimental noise with a setup built around dual bass guitars, dual vocals, electronics, and relentless drumming.

The record includes “The Iron Room,” “Slave to the Bean,” “Mocha Rebirth,” and the title track, capturing the Claremont, California band’s raw, low-end-heavy sound before powerviolence had fully solidified into a recognizable genre.

This 10" 45 RPM reissue expands the original 1992 S.O.A. Records 7" with the bonus track “Regression of Birth,” first added to the 1993 U.S. edition. Featuring the original lineup of Henry Barnes, Joel Connell, Aaron Kenyon, and Eric Wood, the recordings were made at The Headquarters with engineer Rob DeChaine.

Pressed on colored vinyl and packaged with a two-sided 9" × 9" insert.
