Into Another 'Ignaurus'

Originally released in 1994, Ignaurus is the second full-length from Into Another and the record that fully defined the band’s singular sound.

Rooted in the New York hardcore scene but reaching far beyond it, Ignaurus pushes into dark, progressive and psychedelic territory with intricate guitar work, heavy grooves and the unmistakable voice of Richie Birkenhead. Tracks like “Running Into Walls,” “Poison Fingers,” “William” and “Drowning” capture a band stretching the boundaries of what post-hardcore could sound like in the early ’90s.

Featuring Birkenhead alongside Peter Moses, Tony Bono and Drew Thomas, the album helped establish Into Another as one of the most distinctive bands to emerge from the Revelation Records roster.

More than three decades later, Ignaurus still sounds completely its own: heavy, melodic, strange and ambitious in equal measure.
