CIV ‘Set Your Goals’

Originally released in 1995, Set Your Goals is the debut full-length from CIV, carrying the energy and melody of New York hardcore into a new era.

Fronted by Anthony Civarelli of Gorilla Biscuits, the band also featured fellow Gorilla Biscuits member Arthur Smilios alongside Sammy Siegler of Youth of Today and Judge. Produced by Walter Schreifels, Set Your Goals combines fast, melodic hardcore with huge hooks and an unmistakably New York attitude.

Songs like “Can’t Wait One Minute More,” “Do Something,” “Choices Made” and the title track helped make the album one of the defining Revelation Records releases of the mid-’90s.

The vinyl edition also includes CIV’s cover of SSD’s “Glue” as a bonus track, which was not included on the original CD release.
