Audio Karate 'A Show of Hands'

A Show of Hands marked Audio Karate’s first new studio recordings in nearly twenty years, capturing the Southern California melodic punk band after their return to active life.

Audio Karate reunited in 2018 following the reissues of Space Camp and Lady Melody, later releasing two albums of previously unheard material, Malo and ¡Otra!, and returning to the road for festival appearances and shows alongside Descendents and other punk mainstays.

Recorded in 2022, the 7" pairs the brand-new title track “A Show of Hands” with a newly recorded version of “A Monster in Disguise,” revisiting the song with a fuller, more powerful production.

Together, the two tracks capture what has always made Audio Karate distinctive: hyper-melodic punk, emo, and post-hardcore played with precision, urgency, and huge hooks.

Released by Iodine Recordings, the limited 7" features artwork by Jeff Caudill of Gameface, photography from the studio and recent touring, and mastering by Jack Shirley at The Atomic Garden.
