American Nightmare 'Life Support'

Released in 2020 on Deathwish Inc., Life Support is a two-song 7" from American Nightmare that pushes the band’s sound beyond the boundaries of traditional hardcore while retaining the tension and emotional intensity that has defined them from the beginning.

The title track, “Life Support,” leans into the jagged, proto-punk influence that has long existed beneath American Nightmare’s sound, connecting naturally to a band whose history includes covers of the MC5, Black Flag and the Germs.

On the B-side, American Nightmare take on “Left for Dead” by The Lemonheads, putting their own darker, harder edge on a song from another cornerstone of Boston underground music.

A compact snapshot of American Nightmare continuing to evolve decades into their career, Life Support connects Boston hardcore, punk and alternative rock across two sides of a 7".
